They are quietly struggling in their homes, on the edges of communities, hidden behind closed doors and social stigma. Ginnello's CBO believes that support must go to where people are — not wait for people to find their way to support. That is the foundation of our Community Outreach Programs.
Our outreach teams engage directly with communities — building relationships with local leaders, neighbours, and trusted voices — to identify individuals and families in need before their situations become crises. We assess each person's circumstances with care and connect them to the right health, social, and economic support services. Whether the need is urgent or emerging, our outreach approach ensures that vulnerability is identified early and responded to with speed, dignity, and purpose.

Four Pillars of Our Community Outreach Approach
Community Mapping |
We work with local leaders, neighbours, and community members to map areas of vulnerability — identifying households, individuals, and groups who are most at risk and least likely to access help through conventional channels on their own.
Individual Needs Assessment |
Once we identify someone in need, we take the time to properly assess their situation — listening to their story, understanding the full scope of their challenges, and identifying the specific services and support that will genuinely help them move forward.
Service Connection |
We actively connect individuals to the right services — whether health facilities, government welfare programmes, social support networks, economic opportunities, or specialist NGOs — ensuring the connection is made and followed through, not just suggested.
Follow-Up & Engagement |
Outreach is not a single visit. We maintain ongoing engagement with the individuals and communities we reach — following up on referrals, monitoring wellbeing, and remaining a consistent, trusted presence in people's lives over time.

Support This Work
Many vulnerable individuals in Uganda lack access to or awareness of available health services. Our outreach bridges that gap — identifying people with unmet health needs and facilitating referrals to appropriate facilities and programmes.

Our outreach is not a stand-alone activity — it feeds directly into our wider network of services. Every individual identified through outreach can be connected to counseling, emergency family support, service linkage, and other Ginnello's CBO projects.
